They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Anthony Wayne Generals. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Northview was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-21, 15-10.
Nolan Smith paced Northview's offense, picking up 22 kills. Smith got some help from Dillon Ersig and his 41 assists. Zack Joumaa controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Northview's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 10-9. As for Anthony Wayne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
