On Wednesday, Franklin was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Ravenwood. Franklin has not had much luck with Ravenwood recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Brentwood over Independence in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Brentwood came out on top against Independence by a score of 63-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brentwood.
Ella Ryan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 14 times she's played. Olivia Castagna was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Franklin has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Brentwood, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Franklin took a serious blow against Brentwood in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 74-34.
