Holcomb's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Cimarron Bluejays 11-1. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Korbin Johnson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Holcomb got a massive performance out of Chasyn Cosner, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alan Ortega, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Holcomb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Holcomb's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cimarron, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Holcomb beat the Bluejays by a score of 10-5 later that day.
