Basketball Game Preview: Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets vs. Concordia Prep Saints

Two dominant guards in Bryson Milledge and Noah Robinson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Concordia Prep Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chapelgate Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Concordia Prep likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Chapelgate Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to St. John's Catholic Prep. While the Yellowjackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 24-17 in the first quarter.

Despite their loss, Chapelgate Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mason Plater, who posted ten points along with five boards and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. What's more, Plater also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Milledge was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Concordia Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 60-43 fall against St. Paul's.

Chapelgate Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Concordia Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Things could have been worse for Chapelgate Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to Concordia Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Chapelgate Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
