Paramus Catholic (Paramus, N.J.).
The Ironmen were up 17-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Elijah Ibitokun-hanks touchdown run in the first quarter.
Don Bosco Prep saw its 17-point halftime lead fall to 16 entering the fourth.
The loss snapped the Paladins' 4-game winning streak.
DBP's most effective player was Ibitokun-hanks. The junior running back ran for three touchdowns.
Dejon Harrison made a difference for Paramus Catholic. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
PC's lone touchdown came on a 30-yard pass from
Steve Shanley to Harrison in the third quarter.
The Ramsey school had given up an average of 12.2 points prior to the contest. The Paramus school's eight points were well below its season average of 41.8 per game.
A 42-3 Don Bosco Prep victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Paramus Catholic defeated Ridgewood 42-10 last week.
In a Big North - United game next week Don Bosco Prep (5-1) takes on Bergen Catholic, and Paramus Catholic (4-1) will go up against St. Joseph Regional also in a Big North - United game.
