The matchup between the Fort Lee Bridgemen and the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Fort Lee fell to Dwight Morrow 60-55. While losing is never fun, Fort Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Dwight Morrow is ranked 103rd).
Despite the loss, Fort Lee had strong showings from Guy Vickers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, and Devin Jang, who scored 22 points. Jang continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Fort Lee has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Dwight Morrow, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Fort Lee will take on Pascack Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dwight Morrow, Dwight Morrow and Pascack Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pascack Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
