Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Izzy Tonniges, who posted seven points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (60%). Another player making a difference was Mckayla Bradley, who put up eight points and six boards.
Meanwhile, Greeley Central lost to Northridge on the road by a 52-38 margin on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mountain View will have to keep a close watch on Aaniya Davis and Madison Sepeda, a pair of players who had a big impact on Greeley Central's prior game. Davis went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Sepeda scored ten points and five steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Even though they lost, Greeley Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Greeley Central now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 5-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mountain View has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.1 boards per game.
