On Monday, the stars were shining brightly for Rapides in a 54-39 victory over Opelousas Catholic.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rapides to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antwon Jones, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Zayveian Johnson, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Rapides' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Opelousas Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Rapides will head out on the road to face off against Natchitoches Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Natchitoches Central will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Opelousas Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Pine Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Prairie comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
