In what's become a running theme this season, the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 83-37 victory over Sunlake at home. The win was familiar territory for North Tampa Christian Academy who now have seven in a row.
North Tampa Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Toni Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Bryant is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landyn Colyer, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Sunlake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manntavius Goodman, who scored nine points along with two steals. Nicolas Nina was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
North Tampa Christian Academy pushed their record up to 21-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Sunlake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
North Tampa Christian Academy will square off against Williston at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sunlake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
