Chapel Hill is 6-0 against Harmony since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Chapel Hill Red Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Harmony Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Chapel Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Harmony likes a good challenge.
Chapel Hill has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by New Diana at home to the tune of 79-31. Given Chapel Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while New Diana is ranked 745th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapel Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cayden Martinez, who scored ten points along with three steals. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Braden Buchanan was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Harmony scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-61 win over Big Sandy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Harmony as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Chapel Hill's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.7 points per game. As for Harmony, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Chapel Hill against Harmony in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 82-36 win. Will Chapel Hill repeat their success, or does Harmony have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
