Altha is 0-7 against Wakulla Christian School since February of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will face off against the Saints at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Altha will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Crossroad Academy on Wednesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Scorpions. The Wildcats have beaten the Scorpions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Scorpions has come to flipping the script.

Altha let Tripp Hill and Griffin Pickron run wild. Hill scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Pickron scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Hill a new career-high. Mason Hill also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Altha always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Wakulla Christian School gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Munroe with a sharp 17-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.
Jay Brown made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Wakulla Christian School's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Trevor Andrews was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Wakulla Christian School is undefeated when Andrews posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Blaise Foulks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Altha's record is now 11-5. As for Wakulla Christian School, their record now sits at 9-7.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Altha has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. However, it's not like Wakulla Christian School struggles in that department as they've averaged .476. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Altha might still be hurting after the 18-3 loss they got from Wakulla Christian School when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
