The Redbank Valley Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Forest Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Redbank Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,163 points over their last 17 matchups.
Redbank Valley pushed their score all the way to 77 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 86-77 to Karns City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (60), Redbank Valley still had to take the loss.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Breckin Minich, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Clouse, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Cranberry Area at home and fell 66-34.
Redbank Valley's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-2. As for East Forest, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Redbank Valley against the Bears in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 79-15 victory. Will Redbank Valley repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
