Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cibola). They blew past the Estrella Foothills Wolves 21-1 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2016.
Aliana Padilla made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Padilla was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Cibola let Marielsy Ortega and Angelica Arellano run wild. Ortega went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Arellano went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
