New Ulm Cathedral got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elliott Hoffman out in front who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ben Blomberg, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
New Ulm Cathedral has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Loyola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
New Ulm Cathedral will head out on the road to challenge St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully New Ulm Cathedral likes a good challenge. As for Loyola, they will be playing at home against Martin County West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Martin County West has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
