Calvin Snyder made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Delphi Community made easy work of Marquette Catholic on Saturday and carried off a 15-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Oracles, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Brett Huffman, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Levi Coghill was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Delphi Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.
Delphi Community pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for West Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
West Lafayette got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Delphi Community by a conclusive 10-3 score. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Oracles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
