Softball Recap: Andrews Extends Winning Streak to Three

Andrews put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the West Plains Wolves with a sharp 15-1 win.

Andrews let Kenedi Holly and Alexys Cornejo loose on the outfield. Holly went a perfect3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI, while Cornejo went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave Holly a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Cordova, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Andrews was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Andrews' victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Andrews will face off against Amarillo at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Plains, they will take on Frenship at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Frenship will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something West Plains surely won't give up without a fight.
