After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boyd Anderson, the Key West Conchs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sunset as Key West made off with a 58-38 win.
Leading Key West to victory were DeMarcus Deroche and James Osborne. Deroche scored 20 points, while Osborne scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Deroche has scored at least a third of Key West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Roberts, who scored ten points.
The victory got Key West back to even at 11-11. As for Sunset, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Key West will square off against Gulliver Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulliver Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Key West likes a good challenge. Sunset does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
