They didn't even let Citronelle onto the board and left with a 24-0 win on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for UMS-Wright Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
UMS-Wright Prep had a senior duo take command as Joe Lott rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns and Jake Jaye rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
UMS-Wright Prep's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.7 points per game. As for Citronelle, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UMS-Wright Prep will face off against Faith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Faith Academy is ranked 51st, while UMS-Wright Prep is ranked 66th). As for Citronelle, they will head out on the road to face off against LeFlore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LeFlore has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25th.
