It's playoff time, and Bingham had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Cedar Valley Aviators 18-17. Winning may never get old, but the Miners sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Peyton Poleki was excellent, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kavamahea Haiola, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Bingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are undefeated (9-0) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Bingham's record now sits at 16-13-1. As for Cedar Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-15.
As of now, neither Bingham nor the Aviators have any future games scheduled.
