The Walhalla Razorbacks lost against the Easley Green Wave back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Walhalla fell to Easley 55-51. Walhalla has not had much luck with Easley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Walhalla lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Crews Richardson, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Richardson. Jack Williams was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Easley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Crews led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The game was Crews' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carson Freeze, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Walhalla now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Easley, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Walhalla will head out on the road to face off against Easley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Easley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for they, they will look to defend their home court against Wade Hampton at 7:30 p.m. Wade Hampton is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
