The Pleasant Grove Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 76-64 to Cosumnes Oaks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (63), Pleasant Grove still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Elijah Sykes, who scored 30 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Ruff, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Pleasant Grove dropped their record down to 9-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
Pleasant Grove will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Davis Sr. is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wolfpack in California (the Wildcats are ranked 96th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 336th).
