Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maiden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shannon Wingate, who rushed for 294 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per carry. Wingate has become a key player for the Blue Devils: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Grant Lawing was another key passer, throwing for 171 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Maiden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 360 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
