The Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They breezed by Mississippi School for the Deaf at home to the tune of 77-36. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-20.
Mississippi School for the Deaf's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Damarion English, who scored 11 points. Christian Carrawell was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Ohio School for the Deaf's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Ohio School for the Deaf will be home for the holidays to greet Indiana School for the Deaf at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Mississippi School for the Deaf will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Illinois School for the Deaf at 9:30 a.m. on December 9th.
