Silverdale Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Houston Holland, who scored 19 points. Holland continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kennedy Okpara was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Boyd-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Silverdale Academy, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyd-Buchanan will challenge Silverdale Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silverdale Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Grace Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Grace Baptist Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Silverdale Academy is ranked 38th).
