Oasis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javarius Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Overbaugh, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Island Coast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kobey Babernitch. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Babernitch's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Terrell Hill, who scored 7 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Oasis now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Island Coast, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis will challenge Canterbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Island Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Mariner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mariner's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
