Softball Recap: Munford Finds Home Field Redemption Against Millington Central

There's no place like home for Munford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Millington Central Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Harper Seiler was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Kate Billings, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Munford now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Millington Central, they dropped their record down to 10-12-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Munford will welcome Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Millington Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
