The Bridgeton Bulldogs waltzed into their match Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over Cedar Creek. Bridgeton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bridgeton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zikwon Anderson, who scored 16 points along with three steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Anderson posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jameel Purnell, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Bridgeton's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cedar Creek, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Bridgeton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Absegami at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Absegami and Bridgeton are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Cedar Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face LEAP Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. LEAP Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
