Wilson Christian Academy has gone a perfect 4-0 against Southside Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chargers are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wilson Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against New Life Christian Academy as they made off with an 18-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.
Ethan Kriger made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Back at the plate, Wilson Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Dawson Carnes, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Carnes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Coughlin, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Wilson Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Southside Christian got the win against Scotland Christian Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 15-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Zeke Ragan was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Ragan was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Busdieker, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nathanael Jewett, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Wilson Christian Academy's record is now 3-8. As for Southside Christian, their record now sits at 2-3.
Everything went Wilson Christian Academy's way against Southside Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Wilson Christian Academy made off with a 14-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
