Concord (N.C.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 21-2 win over
Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.).
The Spiders put up seven points in the opening frame. Concord scored on a touchdown run by
Myles Neils.
After taking the lead on a Neils touchdown run in the first quarter, CHS led 14-2 at the half.
The Spiders grew their lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. Concord's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Rocky Reid.
CHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 36-7.
