Softball Recap: Skyview Has No Trouble Against Kelso

After only one run in their last game, Skyview made sure to put some runs up on the board against Kelso on Tuesday. Skyview put the hurt on Kelso with a sharp 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Storm, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Reese Perdue spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Audrey Jackson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Taylor Lies was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kelso only posted a batting average of .192.

Skyview's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Kelso, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Skyview has already played their next contest (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Kelso, they will venture away from home to face off against Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
