The Woodsboro Eagles were the 45-42 winner over the Kenedy Lions when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Woodsboro took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenedy on Tuesday. Woodsboro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Woodsboro had strong showings from Amarian Zambezi, who scored 14 points along with six steals, and Jordan Garcia, who scored 14 points. Garcia continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Jochetz, who scored eight points.
Woodsboro has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Kenedy, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Woodsboro and Ingleside will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th at. Kenedy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nordheim at 12:00 p.m. on December 21st. Nordheim is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
