The Lincoln County Lynx pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lake Mead Academy by a score of 62-59. Lincoln County has struggled against Lake Mead Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Lynx players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marc Mcclain, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Mcclain hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyon Almaraz, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Lake Mead Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Adelson at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for Lake Mead Academy, they will square off against Needles at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. Needles will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
