First Baptist School had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators with a sharp 12-2 win. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

First Baptist School's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist School will venture away from home to challenge Dorchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. First Baptist School's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Dorchester Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will head out to face off against Goose Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowcountry Leadership has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
