The Odyssey Institute Minotaur have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat River Valley 38-5 on the road. That looming 38-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Odyssey Institute yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Shelby Hunt, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Danica Slack was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Odyssey Institute's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for River Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Odyssey Institute will take on Parker at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Parker is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for River Valley, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Madison Highland Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Madison Highland Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
