For Sissonville, this counts as revenge for the 67-39 loss Winfield walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Sissonville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Taylor out in front who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Max Moore, who scored 14 points.
Sissonville's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Winfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sissonville will challenge Nitro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Nitro's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Winfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Ripley is ranked 72nd, while Winfield is ranked 78th).
