After flying high against West Lincoln last Thursday, Wesson came back down to earth. Wesson fell just short of Loyd Star by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Wesson couldn't push the score so high this time.
Wesson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Loyd Star, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-1-2 record this season.
Wesson will face off against Lawrence County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loyd Star, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
