McNairy Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Chester County proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Jaden Weaver made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Weaver was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayce Goff, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Brooks Johnson was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.

Chester County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McNairy Central only posted a batting average of .200.

Chester County's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for McNairy Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McNairy Central, they will face off against Wayne County at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
