Despite the loss, Winston County saw an underclassman step up: Lynleigh Cobb dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Cobb is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Marli Stewart, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Whitesburg Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Winston County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-19.
Whitesburg Christian Academy will take on Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday. Decatur Heritage Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three matchups. Winston County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
