The Alliance Bloomfield Bulls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 44-26 to New Designs University Park. While losing is never fun, Alliance Bloomfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1369th, while New Designs University Park is ranked 385th).
New Designs University Park was led to victory by Nicholas Hambrick and Daviandre Davis. Hambrick scored four points along with five steals, while Davis scored eight points. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Gael Mejia was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Alliance Bloomfield bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for New Designs University Park, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Alliance Bloomfield will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Academia Avance at 3:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Academia Avance is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. New Designs University Park and Stella High Charter Academy will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Stella High Charter Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
