Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dougherty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monroe only posted a batting average of .357.
Dougherty's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-19. As for Monroe, the loss snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-12-1 record.
Dougherty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-1 defeat against Sumter County on the 10th.
