It was a good run, but the Creekview Grizzlies unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Etowah. Creekview has not had much luck with Etowah recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Creekview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Finley Howard, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Amilya Taft (sy) was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Megan Reed continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Etowah, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Savannah Aparicio, who scored eight points.
Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Etowah, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-11.
Creekview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Etowah's road trip will continue as they head out to face River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. River Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Etowah likes a good challenge.
