The St. Croix Prep Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 79-66 to Becker. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (55), St. Croix Prep still had to take the loss.
Becker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Weiss led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Gass, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
St. Croix Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Becker, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
St. Croix Prep will be playing at home against St. Agnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Becker is on the road again on Saturday and play against Hermantown at 5:00 p.m. on January 6th.
