The West County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Fredericktown, falling 63-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West County has scored all season.
Amelia Miller was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 19 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals for Fredericktown. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabbie McFadden, who scored 14 points.
West County's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Fredericktown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West County will be home for the holidays to greet Festus on Saturday. As for Fredericktown, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Arcadia Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Arcadia Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
