Riverton hasn't had much luck against Herriman recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday.  It was another big night for  Faythe Stauffer, who  went 6 of 8  en route to 19  points in addition to seven  boards and five  assists. The  game was  her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Halle Talbot, who  posted seven points.
 Meanwhile, Herriman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took a  blow against Copper Hills, falling  58-14. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings  (they are ranked 79th, while the Grizzlies are ranked fifth).
 Riverton's  win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-6. As for Herriman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
 Riverton lost to Herriman on the road  by a decisive  61-46 margin  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. Can Riverton avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
