Softball Recap: Greenwood Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Greenwood and Russellville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Cyclones 11-2. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Greenwood's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Russellville, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Coming up, Greenwood will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lavaca at 5:00 p.m. The Golden Arrows will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Russellville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Farmington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
