Gueydan will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Grand Lake at 7:00 PM. Gueydan is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Gueydan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They were fully in charge, breezing past North Central 58-6.
Meanwhile, Grand Lake had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They might be aching after a bruising 7-34 loss to Vinton.
Gueydan's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Grand Lake's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Gueydan's success rolls on or if Grand Lake are able to steal their positive momentum.
