Baseball Recap: St. Elizabeth Wins Going Away Against Russellville

While St. Elizabeth put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Russellville. The Hornets blew past the Indians 15-0. The Hornets have beaten the Indians the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Indians has come to flipping the script.

St. Elizabeth got a massive performance out of Kyson Green, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double was Green's first of the season. Carter Reinkemeyer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

St. Elizabeth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive matches.

St. Elizabeth's record now sits at 12-7. As for Russellville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

St. Elizabeth will take on New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Russellville, they will face off against Tipton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
