The Lago Vista Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marble Falls. Lago Vista has not had much luck with Marble Falls recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Saylor Stamos and Eliana Helton certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Stamos scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals, while Helton scored seven points along with ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Helton pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Leading Marble Falls to victory were Bethany Fry and Lexie Edwards. Fry scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Edwards scored ten points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Roberts, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Lago Vista bumped their record down to 10-16 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Marble Falls, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-19.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Burnet the next time they take the court. Lago Vista will host Burnet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Marble Falls will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
