They were the clear victor by a 54-34 margin over the Patriots. That looming 54-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Micheal Hill, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of David Horn, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and four steals.
Meanwhile, Inlet Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Somerset Academy - Canyons on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 67-63 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.
Somerset College Prep Academy better focus on containing Robert Brown and Jorden Black as the pair were huge in Inlet Grove's win. Brown went 5 of 10 on his way to 19 points and five assists, while Black went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayler Hodge White, who put up five points along with six assists and three steals.
Inlet Grove pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Somerset College Prep Academy has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Inlet Grove struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
