After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, the Copan Hornets were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Riverfield Country Day by a score of 41-31.
Riverfield Country Day lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lily Clark, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicya Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Copan's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Riverfield Country Day, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copan on the road again on Thursday and play against Bluejacket at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Bluejacket is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Riverfield Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Chouteau-Mazie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
